IISRS and China
The International Institute for Suburban and Regional Studies has developed and maintained active and mutually-beneficial relations with research and education institutions in the People's Republic of China since 1983. Among the activities have been joint conferences, workshops, seminars, short-term teaching, research, publications, and various consulting projects.

Hosting a delegation from China at the American Sociological Association (ASA) Annual Meeting in San Antonio, Texas and a conference in Baltimore, Maryland
1984
Dr. Borowsky's lecture tour to China (16 universities and 9 state institutes for social research)

Together with International Friends of Music Association, sending several delegations of American scholars, business people, and artists to China
